Youth bowling at Interstate Lanes is fun for kids of all ages and abilities. Anyone ages 4 thru 18 is welcome to join. No one sits on the bench in bowling. Each child participates equally each week. Kids are placed in age-appropriate leagues to allow them to bowl with and make new friends along the way.
Youth bowling allows kids to earn individual recognition & awards while contributing to their team's success. Our handicapping system gives everyone a chance to succeed, regardless of average or ability.
The Interstate Youth program is USBC sanctioned, and gives kids a unique opportunity to earn scholarship money for bowling in the program through the TBCA Grand Prix scholarship program. Additional scholarship opportunities are available throughout the season.
- The Bumper Buddies league, ages 4-5, bowls @ 9:30 Saturday mornings. Children bowl as individuals. Price is $3.50 a week.
- The Alley Hogs league,ages 5-11, bowls @ 9:30 Saturday mornings. 4 kids on each team. Price is $8.50 a week.
- The Coulda Been Sleeping league, ages 12-18, bowls @ 9:30 am. Price is $8.50 a week.
We will ALWAYS register kids, any time of year!
Registration is $30 per season, which includes the child's YABA sanction card. Bumper Buddies Registration is $10.
Like all youth sports organizations, parent involvement is key to our program's success. We have several parents who volunteer and help coach our kids along the way. More coaches are always welcome and needed. Each season we plan an end of the year party and do fund raisers to help meet that goal. Each child will receive their own Viz-A-Ball (with over 200 designs to choose from) at the end of the season (provided their share of the prize fund is met).
